Fairground Historian Steve Smith lecture on Fairground Art.
A full house today at the Philip Astley Centre for the very popular and fascination Fairground Art talk by Fairground Historian Steve Smith. Our Mayor Cllr Barry Panter and Mayoress of Newcastle-Under-Lyme were joined by people who had travelled from around the country, all of whom were enthralled by this wonderful lecture and included collectors, artists, showmen, fans and interested members of the public.
The talk was fascinating with images of fairground art on display as well as photographs covering well over one hundred years of fairground rides and their artwork.
