Clough Hall Park Paradise of the Potteries talk drew a full house.
What a fantastic lecture last week by local historian Philip Leese about Clough Hall – Paradise of the Potteries, the audience were enthralled by this talk, all were entertained and enlightened by this walk through local history of the theme park forerunner. Everybody agreed it was a fascinating talk on the history of Clough Hall, Kidsgrove’s entertainment paradise, once home to tightrope walkers, gondola rides, and even early cinema. From firework displays to performing goats and camel rides, delve into the past where Victorian wonders met a tragic mystery!
