Successful Macmillan Charity Event

A wonderful and successful Macmillan Charity Event was held today at the Philip Astley Centre, raising money for an important cause.

Today Thursday 26 Sept 2024 the Macmillan Charity event at the Philip Astley Centre was a resounding success, it was wonderful to see a room full of people enjoying themselves, learning about Philip Astley, plus taking in the Showpeople of North Staffordshire Exhibition, and on top of that taking part in the fun Allydance Chair-acise class run by Allyson Ford.

After the tour of the Philip Astley Centre and Allydance Chairacise class there was the coffee morning refreshments of tea, coffee and cake, all raising funds for such an amazing cause, the Douglas Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. Over £450 was raised on the day with promises of more coming in.

Everybody said they had an amazing time.

A massive thank you to Delia, Allyson, the Philip Astley Projects CIC team and everybody who took part.
