This week Andrew Van Buren from The Philip Astley Projects 
visited St. Giles & St George’s C of E Academy in Newcastle under Lyme, where he presented his unique Philip Astley school assembly for the children and teachers.
“Andrew spoke to the pupils about the history and wonder of Newcastle-under-Lyme’s son, Philip Astley: the military hero, original Ringmaster and father of the modern circus, as well as performing some of his own exciting circus skills and tricks”.

The Philip Astley Centre will officially open its doors to the public on 9 March 2024 Merriall Street (ST5 2AE)
